The musical synopsis: Three Pekes in a Pod is a new breed of musical about three Pekingese-Benny, Peng Chou, Xui Mai, who must come together as a family as they experience their new lives in a new neighborhood. The Three Pekes struggle to identify with their cultural identity and individuality as they are faced with a full-out cultural clash war against the local dogs.
Pekingese originated in China and is an ancient dog breed originating in China. It has a history of thousands of years and has continued from the Qin Shihuang era to the Qing dynasty.
