Chinese characters are very intelligent. This piece of artwork 安樂 one of peace安, composed of safe 安 "宀" and "女". there is a woman in home which means stability, peaceful; quiet, calm, tranquil. A virtuous lady in the family will be stability and happiness.
Generally, appreciation of Chinese traditional calligraphy is read from the right side to the left side. It was using Chinese brush, traditional ink handwritten on rice paper. It was a seal script style (1122 - 221 B.C.) in Chinese Calligraphy by Carmen Lam.
