The musical synopsis: Three Pekes in a Pod is a new breed of musical about three Pekingese-Benny, Peng Chou, Xui Mai, who must come together as a family as they experience their new lives in a new neighborhood. The Three Pekes struggle to identify with their cultural identity and individuality as they are faced with a full-out cultural clash war against the local dogs.
Pekingese originated in China and is an ancient dog breed originating in China. It has a history of thousands of years and has continued from the Qin Shihuang era to the Qing dynasty. The Pekinese has always been the favorite dog in the imperial palace and has been favored throughout the dynasties. Due to the long-term ban in the court environment, the Pekinese kept it is precious and pureblood, and also brought a little elegant and mysterious noble color. This ancient dog has only been allowed to be kept by the royal family from the beginning of the record. If someone in the private sector dares to raise this dog privately, it will be sentenced. The pekingese is a well-balanced, compact dog with a heavy front and light back. It has a personality, a strong desire to express, and its image resembles a lion. It represents courage, boldness, and self-esteem more than beauty, elegance, or refinement.
3 Pekes in a pod - 2 is one of a series of Three Pekes in a Pod musical images by Carmen Lam. Others in this series include Pictographic Character Series - Dog, The Cricket, Four Squirrels In The Neighborhood, Warm Dog, Calligraphy - 9 Dog. 3 pekes in a pod - 1; 3; 4; 5; 6.)
